how long did people have to wait for a reply?
Interesting opportunity for writers Page 3
About a day but I did it about two hours after she posted on chortle so the emails are probably piling up now, so they may take some time to reply.
yep got one today. standard email.
Got another reply today, liked this one too and is on the pile. Normally get a reply the day after sending the sketch.
were are obviously all extremely talented.
its good to get a positive reply, I'm writing some more.
I sent some Friday afternoon and got a reply yesterday. Was getting a bit paranoid...
Thanks Shoe Pie, or can I call you Mr Pie. I think it's great for people to share opportunities like this, I'm definitely gonna send something.
I just sent in some stuff, problem with me I haven't got much to offer yet, that's why this week I've written more sketches then I probably have ever.
Thanks Shoe! Like Paul said, we need to get this sketch project moving, lets not wait for company's to come to us, lets get out there and show 'em, the bastards!
Isn't Paul on the the committee, am i'm quite drunk at the moment cuse the spelling
I got a reply back,
We are pleased to offer you a position with our team, we will pay you big money, you are a genius...
Not really,
Hi Lee,
Thanks for getting in touch.
I have added your details to our batch of possibilities and will be in touch in due course should we decide we'd like to use anything in the show.
Best wishes,
Charlotte
Mr Pie is fine Or Dude. Or, El Dude-erino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
I don't want to seem like a damp duvet but...
You're all used to get rejection letters and now suddenly ALL of you are getting a positive response from this company.
Call me cynical if you like but.......
You're cynical, you are.
I sent two lots off. This is a standard reply. I'm not getting my hopes up.
It may be an overall standard reply but there seems to be some difference in the actual positive comment itself. Did anyone else get...
"Thanks for getting in touch.. really like your style and brand of humour"
