Take the Mic Competition 2010

The search is on for Scotland's best comedy talent as The Scottish Sun and Caledonian Brewery present Take the Mic; offering the UK's biggest prize in comedy with a £20,000 prize pot up for grabs including a £12,000 first prize.

Budding comics from across the country who fancy themselves as funnier than Frankie Boyle or with better craic than Billy Connolly are invited to take to the stage to share their funniest gags and humourous anecdotes in a bid to become Scotland's next comic star.

So far, Congratulations to Gus Tawse & Pearse O'Halloran, our first Regional Final Winners for Aberdeen & Inverness. They go on to the Grand Final at the Fringe, from 16th -22nd August at the Caledonian Brewery, Edinburgh.

Great final (again) and hugely impressive quality on offer. Next up, Glasgow...
