All the good sitcom people f**k off to America.
Oh, like the guy who plays Roy. (He for some reason lives in LA now, but thankfully still comes back for the show.) I'm very glad Linehan is still here.

Quote: Will Cam @ June 21 2010, 10:30 PM BSTFor no deliberate reason I have never seen the IT Crowd. I think there are just so many channels nowadays that you can easily miss something like this.
And you haven't accidentally stumbled across it being repeated on about 4 of those channels?
Yeah, that is quite a feat!
Just watched the new episode on the Channel 4 website!
Plenty of laughs throughout and a very funny ending. The plot seemed a bit so-so and not as clever as some previous episodes, but overall it was good.
Graham Linehan due to guest with Lauren Laverne after 11.30am on 6 music, if you're interested.
He's just saying he's got a script editor for this series, somebody he found on line who had provided a critique of the show.

Bum, I would've listened to that.
He was also on Adam Buxton's show a few week's back.

Did he mention me by name?

I believe it's on iPlayer, Matt.
Quote: Elfman @ June 15 2010, 3:30 AM BSTThanks for linking to that! Interesting to see, since I'd read so much about it. It's hard to watch when you are used to the original, but it'd be interesting to know what someone who's never seen the UK version thought of it (the full episode, or course).
Yeah...wow. I already find it pointless when the Americans remake British shows, but this takes it to a whole new level. First of all, the script is basically identical. Which, ok, The Office did do that for the first couple of episodes, but then...the kicker. MOSS! It's still Richard Ayoade? It just doesn't make sense. If you want to remake the show, remake it with an all new cast of American actors, and take it in a vastly different direction than the original like they did with The Office. But wow... glad that didn't make it to air, quite pointless.
Also, saw the new episode of Series 4 and liked it. Some good jokes, especially from Douglas (as always). I won't pretend this show is destined to be a classic, or that it will ever progress much, but for what it is, I like it, and it makes me laugh.

Maybe they kept him in because he's the best-looking actor. In fact, I always have a bit of a problem with him in this show, because despite him being very good in the role, he looks like he should really be playing James Bond or something.
With no offence to him intended, are we thinking of a different Richard Ayoade?
