A YOUNG WOMAN IS STANDING PROUDLY NEXT TO A PRAM WHILST ANOTHER WOMAN IS BENT OVER THE PRAM LOOKING DOWN ADMIRINGLY

WOMAN
Oh you are beautiful, look at you, aren't you beautiful, yes you are, yes you are, you are beautiful!

IT CUTS TO INSIDE OF THE PRAM REVEALING A PAIR OF VERY EXPENSIVE DESIGNER LADIES SHOES PLACED THERE. IT CUTS BACK TO THE WOMAN WITH THE PRAM SIGHING AND LOOKING DOWN EVEN MORE PROUDLY

INSIDE THE PRAM, A PAIR OF VERY EXPENSIVE DESIGNER LADIES SHOES ARE PLACED THERE. THE WOMAN SIGHS IN DELIGHT AND LOOKS DOWN WITH EVEN MORE PRIDE.

Just a suggestion ;)

The sketch, isn't really a stand-a-lone sketch, is it? There's no real context for it. If it was a series of sketches involving this eccentric "proud" woman, then it would make more sense.

I can see it working perfectly fine as a quick thing on, say, Smack The Pony, but it feels a touch obvious.

A bit cliched, in my opinion. :)

(I think I've seen something like it on TV, about 5 years ago.)

Thanks for the feedback all, currently killing my babies as I compile a new sketch show pilot / calling card script!

I actually liked it and thought it worked fine as a quickie without context. (I realise this may not be helpful just when other people have persuaded you to ditch it.)

Has the feel of a section from an advert. Nothing wrong with it per se but it doesn't feel particularly original, as others have said.
