Thoughts anyone?

Odd.

My thoughts are that they are stupid twats. :)

More blood for the rest of us, I suppose. :/

It's their look out if they're adults, but it makes me angry when parents won't let their little kids have transfusions. They're basically killing their own children. I think doctors should definitely be able to overrule that decision.

I think it's stupid, but it's nice to see someone dying for their religious beliefs without killing anyone else in the process.

Ha! Interesting point.

I happen to know a lot on this subject (I have a view weird friends).

If that lad did take the transfusion he could have easily been exiled from his family and community for it on an extreme case.

In other cases he could have just talked to their elders and been forgiven and continued to live a perfectly normal life.

Even when they want to they can't follow there own stupid religion properly.

ZOOOO! Angry

This is just one of several religious practises which should be banned, and possibly by extension, the faiths that extols such barbarity should be also brought to book. It's not good enough if children are dying through ignorance/superstition, we need to protect them.

I think this pretty much sums it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gYZifDZF4Y

Idiots it follows a completely idiotic and illitersa miss reading of the laws on ritual slaughter.

I work with some quite vulnerable people who carry those flipping no transfusion card.

The problem is that when the law comes in and unequivocably says no to silliness faith groups generally stick to it. Polygamy, keeping kids out of school, genital mutilation. We just need to be less pussyish about challenging religious mean spirited nonsense.

"Joshua, who worshipped there, had "made a stand on the blood issue".

Laughing out loud

Well done him!

No, I only f**k the milkman to get his whipped cream.
