After their ludicrous debate coverage and moderation, I gave up on ITV.

He's almost as good as his dad.
I don't think it was constant was it? And wasn't Miss Maitland there almost as long?
But Paxman really is a smug arsehole isn't he? I know he "asks the questions we want to ask" but he just goes on and on with that superior look on his face. It's basically bullying.

I got a bit fed up with the boat load of pissed celebs on BBC.
Me too. And agreed.

Alistair Stewart was actually quite good on election night, and ITV actually kept up with events rather than cutting away just as it was getting interesting to Andrew or Jeremy or Jeremy or Emily or whoever...

Paxo has turned into a parody of himself. He should give viewers the credit for knowing that politicians are dodging questions and for being able to draw their own conclusions as to why they are doing it. If he actually allowed the politicians to talk it might be more illuminating.

Interesting to see how little insight some of them had and how painfully nakedly self-interested they were.
Bill Wyman must top the list for that. The Tories have got cupboards of these stiffs - mediocre actors and musos like Michael Caine and Wyman who lucked in and now begrudge paying any tax to the country that made them multi-millionaires.

Very true. His opening gambit is usually just insulting these days, rather than insulting and penetrating. His mojo's definitely packed and left.
Quote: Jack Massey @ May 7 2010, 3:53 PM BSTRegardless of the result or the opinions of this Hung Parliment, I'd like to dedicate a thread to David Dimbleby. 21.55 last night he started presenting the election and he's just finished this afternoon at 15.44. That's 17 Hours and 49 Minutes. It's not like he's a young man. Well done David Dimbleby.
I'm pretty sure Sopel took over for a few hours on Friday morning.

But the people that ran the polling stations would have been there at 6.30 am at the latest and, if they had to take the box in, would have finished at about 11pm. I make that a 16 and a half hour day for about what DD would earn while he went for a comfort break.
And, on the subject of polling stations, Radio 5 had a woman on tonight who was one of those caught out at 10pm bemoaning the fact that she and her son couldn't vote.
She then said that this was the first time in 20 years she had turned up and it was the first time her 29 year old son had tried to vote !
Complain? I'd hang both of them !

And of course Wyman should be thrown in prison with Jonathan King and Gary Glitter.
He is an absolute f**king c**t though. Great at his job, but such a punchable guy.
Here's the secret of DD's success.
