You're probably nitpicking there. There most definitely IS a language called Scots.

I didn't say "Scots". I said "Scottish" which is not a language. There is "Scottish Gaelic" which is the kilted variation of Gaelic, but no such language as "Scottish".

I have a colleague at work who insists people do this as well, but I can't hear it - I only get "sixth".

And I didn't say it was a language, either, I just made a Mike Myers joke. Two of them, in fact.

I hate it when people say crutch instead of crotch.

I'm happy if I get to hear either..

I hate the word "Haters" as used by many Twitter twats.

That reminds me - "here, here" instead of "hear, hear".

When people use 'he text me' as past tense, when they mean 'he texted me'.

Yeah, and when people use "text" as a verb! Rather than "he sent me a text (message)."

No, it's kumbaya, my Lord.

Today someone tried to give me "Air Quotes" with only one hand.
How lazy have we become.

Were they holding a hot drink?

Maybe I'm deaf to it, but that still sounds like "sixth" to me. Certainly close enough to not be a problem.

...that we don't use question marks.

That was a question, by the way.
