Except, he is the author. And it's quite, quite clear that he's the author. No one has ever joined to promote something that they stumbled across, nor will they ever. Don't be so disingenuous as to make out that you don't know that as well as every other person here.

I didn't. I took the poster's word for it and assumed they'd put it in the wrong place.

I am quite naive though.

But having pretended they're not, they're fair game. Simple as that. And Buss was quite obviously taking the piss, not seriously pretending he didn't know the poster had something to do with the podcast. Seriously, why the big deal about this, this is stupid. They say in the thread title the podcast is 'shitty', there can be no complaint if someone in the thread agrees.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Matt, but in actual fact I was operating naively. I've only recently started using the Active Threads function, and as such I now tend to choose a thread by subject rather than area. The word 'podcast' caught my eye in this instance - it was only much later I realised the thread had been filed under Critique. When I commented I was taking the thread at face value and reading it as someone simply wanting to discuss good podcasts. I wasn't being 'disingenuous' in any way. Sorry to disappoint.

Jumping on board? This is the forum I moderate and I have watched this for a while I've found it rather comical how you enjoy clearly making little constructive criticism on peoples work and snap at people who stand up to you.

I don't know why you've been like this recently but you're a bloody funny bloke David and it's a shame you seem to be turning on people like this.

Stand up to me? Can we please take stock of this situation - I've not been on some snark rampage, I've defended myself against a personal insult and taken the liberty of agreeing with a poster. Those have been my crimes to date.
