Very nice, but a couple of minor suggestions

I would lose the 'small brains' reference, it does not make much sense and is not necessary to make the line work.

'Head grass' perhaps go with a more technical feather reference, as birdwatchers would when making an identification, e.g. "the female seems to have longer head coverts'' and perhaps add "and to puff out her chest more".

Cheers Timbo.

You're right about the 'small brains' bit, I've cut it now. I don't want to make it too esoteric, with references to things a lot of people might not know of, although I might just be underestimating people.

Thanks again.

How about "head plumes"?

Hhmaybe, I dunno, the natural properties of hair say grass rather than feathers to me, but you're probably right!

Thanks for that Bryan. I look forward to slagging off critiquing your output.

;) :D

LOL!

I agree with you, but... I only say that because in this sketch the universe is backwards. Imagine a bird examining us, they'd surely look at us through bird eyes. Just as we "anthropomorphise", birds would "ornithomorphise", no? Thus, our hair becomes their feathers, etc. But maybe I'm just talking bollcoks! No worries. :D
