Power Cut

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

Teenage lad is sitting at his computer while his mum stands over him watching.

LAD
Right so you click on compose email in the top corner there, and now you can write your message in here.

MUM
Ah ok. So where do I put in the person who I want to send it to?

LAD
In this line here.

The room is plunged into darkness as everything electrical goes off. Mum screams.

MUM
Oh my god! What's happened??

Mum starts panicking and fumbling around the room knocking things over.

LAD
Calm down mum! It'll probably come back on in a minute.

MUM
(Panicked)
Why isn't this torch working??

The lights come back on. Mum looks panicked and is frantically pressing the button on the torch. The torch has a rubber vagina in place of a bulb. Lad is laughing at first but then notices what she is holding.

LAD
Errrm...Don't know mum.

This is really more a 'scene' than a sketch. If this were part of a sitcom/film you would have the opportunity beforehand to set up the fact that boy owns a fleshlight. As it is the thing comes out of nowhere and therefore so does the punch.

That's a good point. I'll have a tinker and see if I can introduce it or at least make it come as less of a surprise. I've haven't written any sketches for ages now so I'm a bit rusty at the minute.
