The All In One Consolidatory Golf Thread Page 7

Lee Westwood has made a bit of a charge

Good efforts from Mac and Westy. Keep it up fellas.

Loving the new avatar by the way Steve. I've shaved mine, though.

:D

It's incredible how Mcilroy has put himself in such a similar situation to the Masters.
Well not incredible in the way that he is obviously a fantastic golfer.

I think it will prey in the back of his mind, but he'll do it this time & it'll be the first Major of many.

And you can quote me on that if you get there before I delete it.

Can't seem him blowing this one either.

This isn't Augusta, he won't make the same mistake twice.

Westwood is trying to play the game in the interviews "they don't give out trophies for Fridays and Saturdays" but he's too far back.

But it is amazing how consestant Westwood is. He is always up there.

Good lad!

Great Start

Sergio has bulked up!!!!

Rorrryyyyyyyy!!!!

IwANT MY DAUGHTER TO MARRY RORY

Congratulation to the lad. He played some unbelievable golf and played some genius shots.
He didn't buckle but it must be nice to be leading on the final round and know you can take a ten at one hole and still win.

It would have been superb if Tiger had been in the field sniffing around.

I hope Tiger Woods's knee is cured, then there might be some great matches.

The boy done good. Although he does look disconcertingly like Michael Sheen. But older.

Did anyone watch the TV program last night Seve: The Legend.

A very touching tribute to Seve Ballesteros.

The opening scenes of his funeral were very moving. And to see Nick Faldo actually break down in tears whilst being interviewed was so painful.

I watched it all with a lump in my throat punctuated with laughter at seve's antics.

Great program

Saw a little bit, it's hard to imagine a golfer being that charismatic now, they all seem a bit too self focused and serious for my liking, these days.

Just a word about the ever irritating Gary Lineaker, his smugness is breathtaking, it really is. Talking to Seve's son in Spanish, then saying, 'We'd better talk in English now or the people at home won't be able to understand'. He was a great footballer, but what an absolute tosser the bloke is in real life. It seems there is nothing he cannot do, on every show I've seen him on, he excels at everything in that casual, pseudo modest, 'Oh it's nothing, it's just something I've picked up' way of his. I can see why Peter Allis apparently hates him. And Jonathan Ross and a few others.

Aw. Cute story for Day One. Tom Lewis was named after Tom Watson. Lewis gets to play with Watson in Round One of the open and obviously is inspired in the presence of greatness. Five under for a share of the lead. Hope the lad doesn't get vertigo.

My tip, Ian Poulter, had a 69 yesterday; that's set him up nicely for the weekend.

I hope Bjorn does it, but I'd be happy to see Poulter win

Hope the lad doesn't get vertigo.

To be fair I had to watch it a couple of times.
