Comedy from overseas - it does exist? Page 2

Positive!
I'm having actual withdrawal symptoms.
Can someone come round my house with a bad perm, dressed in badly fitted spandex clothes and talk in a silly Aussie accent for me?

I like my comedy British or British-ish so may be a few comedies from Australia.

So No.

... Australia? Check out Sarah Kendall's stand-up!
P.S. My 'Not the Nine O'clock News' reference may've been misguided. My point is the only UK comedy to travel is the kind of slapstick that Laurel and Hardy perfected centuries ago.

There is some good comedy around the world, but until you travel abroad you don't realise what an effect British TV has and our shows are everywhere!

Last year I went on my first ever trip on an aeroplane to New Zealand for 3 weeks and we even have a presence on their news programs... ITN and BBC news reports are integrated in to it!

We have some great comedies that are enjoyed all over the world which is something we should be proud about.

:)

Saw an Italian stand up last night. Couldn't tell from his pants though.

When John Sullivan went to the US to do Only Fools they wanted to do a group hug and he left promptly.

Also David Renwick had a deal for One Foot, which was great, until they rang him and said "We're not keen on this unemployed angle..."
