Ground Force 2900BC

This is my first attempt at a sketch:

GRAMS: GROUND FORCE TV SHOW OPENING MUSIC.

A DRUID IS WALKING TOWARDS THE CAMERA. ALAN TITCHMARSH IS WALKING BEHIND HIM WITH HIS HANDS OVER THE DRUIDS EYES.

DRUID:
Can I look yet?

ALAN:
Hang on. OK

ALAN TAKES HIS HANDS AWAY. THE DRUID LOOKS. WE SEE A SHOT OF STONEHENGE.

ALAN:
Surprise!

DRUID
Oh.

ALAN:
It's a symbolic representation of the spiritual.

DRUID:
Right.

ALAN:
It connects our lives to the sacred through the juxtaposition of aspects of our material culture.

DRUID:
I see. What does it actually do?

ALAN:
It encapsulates the relationship between the sacred and the physical.

DRUID:
<slowly>Right.

ALAN:
<Looks a little uncomfortable> Well, it's a work in progress. We're obviously going to have to bury some of the village children at key points in the circle.

DRUID:
I'm not sure I really get it. It's not what I asked for.

ALAN:
Oh.

DRUID:
I wanted a rockery.

Very good especially for a first one.

I think if you caught Titmarsh's voice a bit closer it could help.

Thanks sootyj - much appreciated. :)

I see you write a lot of sketches on here. Do you have any market for them?

Newsrevue Treason Show, that's it really and open ops when they turn up.

Hi Pumpkin, I liked this idea. It could be used a number of times. Titchmarsh reveals strange gardens to people.

I think you're right.

BTW - Is it me or does he have SUCH an annoying voice.

I liked it, but when was the last time Groundforce was on?

Good one. But Ground Force is a little dated itself so I don't know if you could find a home for it. Sorry to squash your hopes Pumpkin. ;)

Dit-diddly-ito.

It may be dated but the idea is still good. I liked the sketch too.

I think this idea was used by bigfella quite sometime ago and he did a handful of variations on it. Some crackers too.

Laughing out loud

Okay, so not topical, but nicely executed and I did a laugh at the rockery.

Well I don't want to squash your hopes Pumpkin....but that was pretty good :)
