OK, I'm an idiot !
I got a 'parking ticket' at the Merry Hill Centre issued by UKPC. I won't go into the details save to say that where I was parked was so poorly marked / tarmaced as to make it believable that it was a parking space.
The 'fine' was £70 or £35 if paid within 14 days. There was a right of appeal but I was sceptical that, should I go down this route, the decision would not be in my favour, and be after the 14 days, therefore costing £70 ! So I paid tonight.
Why oh why didn't I do my research ?
A tip for anyone else caught by these cowboys.
