What's the most stupid song lyric? Page 5

Don't get me started on the line about 'rebellious Scots'!

They should have sung that verse at the rugby last weekend !

Might have stirred the Scots up a bit and dumped the boring b*stards out of the World Cup !

:(

I was listening to a song a couple of weeks ago that contained these nonsensical lyrics:

"Just the other day they raped a girl in the exit
Put her in a coma now she's three months pregnant"

>_<

The lyrics I hate most are those that have been used too often before. For example, "I've been waitin', anticipatin' ". Why reuse that rhyme instead of using an ounce of originality? Oh, I answered by own question; it would take an ounce of originality, something they clearly don't possess.

So I've put my hands up in the air, let me guess, you now want me to wave them like I just don't care? How original.

Isn't that the theme tune of the Conservative conference

Exactly!
Why not 'put your hands in the air/ after sex I'll give you the bus fare'

Lenny Kravitz is cack, obviously, and these lines from Fly Away always make my stomach attempt to digest itself:

"I wish that I could fly
Into the sky
So very high
Just like a dragonfly"

Pure shit.

This is the Stott I want to see more of: bad Stott, critical Stott, shit slinging Stott.

Excellent.

Dragon flys famously don't fly very high at all.

Lenny Kravitz is a total f**k wit.

Fish gotta swim and birds gotta fly.

In an ideal world, yeah.

When Hendrix sang about a 'dragonfly' in Spanish Castle Magic, he was thought to be referring to a helicopter, so perhaps Kravitz is, too.

In an ideal world, yeah.

But what about penguins and flying fish.

We should make DAvid Attenborough a music critic.

:D

Someone has probably mentioned this already, but 'What's she gonna look like with a chimney on her'... Anyone know what on earth this means?

Great song but I've never understood the dilemma in the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go Now"

If he goes there will be trouble but if he stays it will be double, so surely going is the obvious answer as it results in 50% less trouble, not exactly rocket science.

At the time guitarist Mick Jones was starting to drift away from the rest of the group. So if he stayed there was gonna be trouble and if he went it could be the end of his career (double)
