A great actor who starred in some fantastic films.

My faves in no particular order. The Wrong Arm of the Law, Two-Way Stretch, Blue Murder at St Trinian's, Up in the World, Murder Ahoy! & Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

RIP.

RIP. Bizarrely, I have a feeling he even turned up in Lexx.

Sad news. I always thought he was a great comedy actor.

Teary He was P.O.S.H posh.

My favourite of his is The First Men In The Moon.

Another great British character actor gone. He did overact a bit at times but in 50s and 60s comedies it didn't really matter, as everyone did it. There were some funny stories other actors told about him, he was a bit clumsy, but the funniest thing I remember is when he got caught up in some cables when he was directing a film and nearly drowned. Happily he didn't.
