There seems to be some confusion in recent messages.

Nat's photo is of a Chimpanzee which is an ape.

Talk of eating monkey brains relates to monkeys, not apes.

But as SootyJ points out via the Attenborough clip, chimps are carnivore (or omnivores rather) just like humans. For a long time they were thought to be vegetarian.

Humans are closer related to Apes than to Monkeys.

Look around the back

In general Apes have no tails, monkeys do have tails.

You don't have those in the US? They are sock protectors, which function to shield socks from pesky, itchy grass-seeds, which are doubtlessly
abundant in the elephants' hay. I have two pairs of "sock-protectors" for my summer walks through rural Australia.

I like these dark mornings because you get to see the sun rise.

Nice pic Chip - not sure about the motorway though.

I like motorways! I'd like to live on one of those huge motorway islands you see. But only if nobody knew I was there.

I took this photo on Tuesday morning. It's 2 pics I pasted together to show the full rainbow, you don't often get to see both ends.

Did you find two pots of gold?

Ironically I saw a nice rainbow the other day. Just one end, mind.
