NJ: Toyota Recall

Here was my take on the millions of sketches they must have received on this.

I was running out of ideas week-upon-week!

Anyway, I'm glad that's over -- I'm sick of reading the papers and declare an official 'no-news' sabbatical for me.

Toyota Recall
====================
MILES:
Now, we all know the car in front is a Toyota. Not only is it in front, but it's pulling away at a fairly rapid rate. Now it's a dot. Oh. Oh dear, the burning ball of tangled metal in front is a Toyota...

F/X:MOVIE TRAILER EFFECTS

V/O GUY:
Sometimes nothing is what it seems...

F/X:APOCALYPTIC NOISES

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a man implanted with false memories...

F/X:BOOM

He doesn't remember - going to Japan!

F/X:BOOM

He doesn't remember - meeting the car manufacturer!

F/X:BOOM

He doesn't remember - demanding all Californians drive hybrids!

F/X:BOOM BOOM BOOM

Toyota Recall!

The action just gets faster and faster with no slowing down!

Toyota Recall!

Coming to a car dealership near you, soon... And fast!

END

Nice angle on this story. I thought that maybe you could have an extra sound effect at the end: 'squealing brakes/car crashes into building', with VO guy screaming and running for cover.

I didn't bother sending any sketches in the second series.
But I was very impressed with your efforts Dan.
You really had the tone & style spot on.
Cheers for sharing some of your efforts.

Cheers Drew.

Thanks Steve, no probs. Hope they're of some benefit, one way or another!

Dan

Nice one Dan. I enjoyed this.

Spelling error : car in from is a toyota

Cheers
Craig

Cheers Craig. Fixed.

Dan

Really nice idea. :D

Lots of Swerytd magic here - the preamble is especially neat - and the 'Toyota Recall' pun is a fantastic high springboard that you don't quite pike off of.

Could turn on one's memory of Total Recall though and I remember that film as pretty nutty - so I reckon you could be bolder.

This was excellent swertyd. Did this not make it? Lack of justice imho.

Cheers guys.

Taxis -- I will try harder! :)
