How do you write a stutter?

I am just starting something ( non - script ) and one of the characters has a stutter.

The question is how do you write the dialogue?

Is it

"Can I bborrow a pair of sssissors?"

or

"Can I borrow a pair of sissors" he stuttered.

Bearing in mind, there is going to be a lot of dialogue.

Or is it neither?

Put it in the stage directions BF.

It's not a script Marc.

Well whose fault is that?

:D

So? Ideas?

Then what is it? Are you sending abusive notes whilst pretending to be Kevin out of a fish called Wanda?

The second one then, :)

It's a short story thing!

Although with the stutter it might be a long one.

Yeah? He does talk quite a bit. Won't it get a bit repetative?

Why give him a stutter anyway?

It's quite integral...Its about a boy who is bullied about his stutter.

Laughing out loud

You've probably already thought of this, but Google for novels with a stutterer and find out how they did it.

One of the main characters in this has a stutter, if memory serves me right:
