Jordan's Wedding

Another one from the Treason Edit Sheet.

Eamonn Holmes is reading the news on Sky Sunrise.

Eamonn : A round up of the minor stories of the day. Over 10% of the population have now perished in Haiti and three MP's have vowed to defend themselves in court over charges of theft. And now, back to our main story, the wedding in Las Vegas of Katie Price and Alex Reid. Joining me to discuss this is Vanessa Perronce, famous for her relationship with the England Captain <beat> the England left back, <beat> the Chelsea left winger, and <beat> the Chelsea centre forward.

Vanessa Perronce points out something on Eamonn's paperwork

Eamonn : Oh yes and the Brighton and Hove Albion physio.

Vanessa : Good Morning Eamonn

Eamonn : So what can you report on Jordan's latest wedding? A money making spin?

Vanessa : No, no. A vegas wedding? Pure romance. The dress was beautiful so I'm told.

Eamonn : Yes, I'm sure Alex Reid looked lovely. But how much wonga are they making?

Vanessa : None at all. It was very subdued. Just the two of them and a couple photographers from Hello and Heat as the witnesses.

Eamonn : They partied with strippers afterwards I'm told.

Vanessa : Of course, newly weds always like to decorate.

Eamonn : No that sort of stripper, I meant. Oh never mind. So tell us about the dosh they are going to make.

Vanessa : Look this is all very cynical, the pair are very much in love. I can't think of anyone wanting to cash in on a relationship.

Eamonn: Well you heard it there first folks. Anyway after the break we are talking about the bank of England's decision to stop their quantative easing programme <beat> that's with our special guest, King of the Jungle, Gino de Campo!

Is she actually French or just French born? Never having actually heard her (or even heard OF her before this week), I had the image of her sounding like those 'sexy' French maids from 'Allo 'Allo (Yvette, is it?) with a deep sexy french voice.

At the moment "Of course, newly weds always like to decorate." sounds right for her, but "Look this is all very cynical, the pair are very much in love. I can't think of anyone wanting to cash in on a relationship" seems a little too...smart, for someone in those circles. It also doesn't then contrast enough with Eamonn.

Does that make any sense?

:D

Nice one, Bigfella. The intro and lead-up is great, but I think you could end it earlier without the old 'stripper' gag and the 'round up'. Possibly like this (Vanessa Perroncel is actually French):

Vanessa: Bonjour, Eamonn

Eamonn: So; Jordan's Vegas wedding - Another money making spin?

Vanessa: Mais non! Pure romance. Ze dress was beeeyoootifoool!

Eamonn: Yes, I'm sure Alex Reid looked lovely in white... Many there?

Vanessa: Just ze two of zem.

Eamonn: Ahhh... True love! Who witnessed it, then?

Vanessa: A few photografaires from Hello, Heat - oh, and Max Cleeeford.

Nice one BF
The "I'm sure Alex reid looked lovely" made me lol

Thanks all.

Yeah, I wasn't actually sure if she was French or not.

It also appears that she isn't selling her story, which kind of makes the second to last line wrong.

Nice edit as always - M
