Bernard Manning Page 2

I have no problems with Bernard Manning.

I've never met him but from all accounts he is a nice person and does alot for charity and people flock to see his shows.

He has lots of different races in his audiences.

Bottom line is, if you're easily offended then you won't like him but i'm not so i enjoy his comedy.

Oh and before anybody says it, i'm not racist.

I have black and asian friends but yet still enjoy his comedy because at the end of the day that's all it is, Comedy and telling jokes.

Bloody political correctness gone mad.

There are comedians that tell jokes about race who are telling them because they are mocking the people who actually have those beliefs. If the jokes are actually any good, then they can be funny. The more offensive the funnier, sometimes.

Then there are comedians who are genuinely filled with hate, who are telling these jokes with no trace of irony. Like Bernard Manning. I think there's a massive difference between the two.

Well i have never heard anything about Bernard Manning being genuinely filled with hate about Race.

I've always thought that was aload of propaganda spread by people who just don't like him.

He was banned from TV. So I guess he was offending people. He actualy made me squirm when he was on that Caroline Ahern show.

However as he is still in the land of living (and at that size too)& his brazeness is still admired good luck to him. As long as he is not seen by our youth culture and only old skool people I cant say I care.

Curious thing Bernard. I don't like him, but I enjoy Roy Chubby Brown. They are practicly the same person. Banned from TV, went for years without any decent jokes before they finally got the freedom of speech and milked it for all it's worth, and likes to offend people. I haven't met Bernard, but i have met Chubby, and if he is as nice a man as Chubby then i have nothing wrong with him, because for Chubby atleast i know he doesn't mean most of the things he says, and have seen many minorities in his audiences on his videos and DVDs. So, as the old saying goes, "If Easily Offended ... F*** off."

I wouldn't get so worked up about B Mannning now. He's old and probably stinks of piss. Incidently, why is it that a man's waist gets higher the older he gets. The exception being Simon Cowell who's waistline is abnormally high for a bloke of his age. I advise him to get it seen to.

I never met him but from all the accounts he is a nice person and does alot for the German people and people flock to see his rallies

He has alot of different races in concentration camps

Bottome line is, if you're easily Jewish then you won't like him but i'm not so I enjoy his final solution

Oh and before anybody says it, i'm not Nazi

I have jewish and disabled friends [correction: had jewish and disabled friends] but still enjoy his policies because at the end of the day thats all they are, policies.

Bloody political correctness gone mad

:)
I was kind of hoping someone would do that.

Laughing out loud Oh dear.

I fight prejudice wherever it lives, unlike those cheese eating surrender monkeys, the French

Oh the cheese monkeys. I bought their last single.

I can't honestly say if Bernard Manning’s racially offensive because I just don’t know. The truth is I've never been a fan but back in the bad old days of the 70's he was no different from Frank Carson, Mike Reid, Charlie Williams, Mike Burton, Dougie Brown et al. They all told gags that were racially offensive by today’s standards yet it's only Bernard Manning who still gets tarred by the same brush. I can't, hand on heart, recall him telling a racially offensive joke for years but even so, the mud has stuck and he's still carrying the can for every comedian from that era. Or at least that's the way it seems.

Do I like him? No.

Is he offensive? Yes. He's a fat git and I find that really offensive.

Is he a racist comedian? Show me something, anything, that Bernard Manning has done in recent times that can be deemed more offensive or socially unacceptable than the comic establishment today and I will gladly cast the first, second and third stones.

Well, Baumski, 4 years ago he did a gig for the BNP. Case closed.

An excellent and most compelling argument. Now where are those stones?
