Men Behaving Badly in America

I hope the overly-fastidious moderator ;) doesn't put the kibash on this thread, but I searched and I couldn't tell from the hundreds of results that came back if this show has been discussed before.

Does anyone remember the American version of 'Men Behaving Badly' starring Rob Schneider? I remembering liking it a lot. In fact it was one of the sitcoms that helped me to understand exactly what sitcoms could be (I was a pubescent high schooler when it aired). I have never seen the British version, but I can only assume it was at least as good as the American version

I thought it was aces, but it only lasted a couple seasons.

Seems ok, I'd have to watch more no doubt but looks very similar.

How many seasons did it last for?

I think it was only two seasons.

I just checked out Wikipedia and it says that Eldard and Bateman left after season one, and it only aired 6 seasons of season two with replacements

It is odd that a sitcom could jump the shark after only one season (which was 22 episodes). I can't find much about ratings, but I am really interested in the British series.

Not heard of the US version, but the British version is great. Gary Strang was one of my favourite characters.

22 episodes of a season in America would equal nearly 4 series of a sitcome here.

one season short then our there for something to last?

Normally sitcoms last about 2 - 3 series depending.
