Agreed that was the only jibe that really hit the mark. It seems to be a requirement of political correctness that sketch shows have equal numbers of male and female performers. This always creates a problem for script editors, as sketches tend to favour male characters - particularly topical ones, which obviously focus on people in the news, who are more likely to be male.
Top tip for writers looking to sell sketches: write more female parts.
