Things that piss you off Page 906

What about those of us who have accents that make have and of sound much of a muchness?! Ya Northern snobs

I say loads of things wrongly.
Most people pronounce 'our' the same as 'hour'. But I pronounce 'our' exactly the same as 'are'.

You know much posher people than I do

"Should'uv" is what I tend to speak, so when typing I sometimes write "should of" without thinking. But I do try and correct myself.

I'm not really bothered about mistakes. The only one that bothers me is "I could care less". Just no!

You should, obviously, be crucified.

Hee, you really don't want to see that

Lol. I just say bold. They seem to think it's more... 'bawled'.

Interesting. (strokes imaginary beard - hopes it's imaginary) Why do you say it differently from the rest of the family?

Either because I'm the weird one or the only sane one.

Bauld ?

Eh?

So how do you all pronounce bald?

God, I've totally killed this thread...

I would say 'bauld' like OR suggests, but I wouldn't get around to pronouncing the 'd'. My accent trails off cos it's not sure what it is :D
