I've always hated that sort of sly discrimination you get in some very female working environments, especially caring ones.
You know female managers letting women have a day off because they're boyfriend ditched them. And moaning about "bloody men" when there's only 2 men in a team of 12. Can be very issolating.
Quote: AngieBaby @ November 25 2010, 12:18 AM GMTRecently I got into the lift at work with 3 of the guys from the post room. One of them pretended that I'd pinched his bum as I reached for the floor buttons. It was funny at the time, but now it's turned into a big in-joke that I'm a bit uncomfortable with.
Apart from bum pinching being passé, I don't want to be part of any kind of role-reversal irony, or court-case.
I think you have to speak to them face to face and tell them it isn't funny. Jokes get out of hand very quickly. And "it's all a joke etc" is the cover of a bully.
