I hate when the train is late and I make a big scene and start yelling at the staff on the platform, and then the announcement comes through that the reason the train is late is because someone fell on the tracks and got killed, and then everyone looks at me like it's my fault.
Quote: Ben @ March 2 2010, 3:26 PM GMTHow did you ensnare your ladyfriend, Chip? Was it just a quick flash of those washboard abs or what?
Mainly or what.
If people talk to me, I'll try to make them feel as if they aren't intruding on me but if they don't talk to me, I'm fine with that too.
Quote: Ben @ March 2 2010, 3:09 PM GMTI can't stand conversations with taxi drivers.
What do your taxi drivers like to talk about?
Quote: Kenneth @ March 3 2010, 10:18 AM GMTWhat do your taxi drivers like to talk about?
The taxi drivers where I live know my parents quite well (via pubs etc).
So I end up talking about them and pretending everything they say about them is hilarious - when it's not.

Thing is I tend to get Asian drivers and they go on about how stupid white people are (or the English), I generally can't hear much about what they're saying so just pretend it's funny.

Quote: Something @ April 22 2007, 3:46 PM GMTThe German who lives across the road from us and wants the laws of Germany to apply here. According to him we're not allowed to have workmen on a Sunday. (This is a Buddhist country and Sunday is not the Sabbath.) He also called the police because he thought his (American) next door neighbour was playing the guitar too loudly. But it's OK for him to have his TV blaring, his bloody dogs barking all night, and generally make as much noise as he likes. I wish he would go back to Germany. (Thanks for the rant. Very enjoyable.)
I often wonder what happened to Something.
