Yes the seat belt thing pisses me off too.

Even the most lenient cops here in the States will gladly hand out a citation to anyone who lets their kids ride without being belted in. A lot of them even carry car seats in their patrol cars to hand out to people who break the seat belt laws.

Well that's one law that everyone should like to see enforced. There is no excuse for putting your child at risk.

If I can get into uni, you won't have any problems.

Not according to UCL.

Sounds like a good idea.

And they're probably the sort of parents who excessively worry about 'stranger danger' and don't realise they're putting their child at greater risk of harm.

You also hear that "well we never wore seatbelts as kids and we never died" argument. Angry - yeah, but a lot of kids did.

Seriously, I'm not being flippant, but I thought nearly everyone goes to uni these days?

I think we should decide on a child by child basis. Some kids are positively begging to be harmed.

I was rarely in a car when I was younger, my parents couldn't afford one, we walked everywhere in all weathers.

Are we related? :)

I think the same goes for alot of people, a car has only become a necessity for a family in the last 10 - 15 years.

And then they arrive home and get shot.

If my brother can get into UCL, you can.

Oh no, I can't.

Can.

I bloody well can't, Aaron! They just sent me a rejection notice!

So I'm a very unhappy bunny.

So I'm a very unhappy bunny.

In the words of my Mother (on countless occasions):

YOU'RE TOO GOOD FOR THEM!
