It seems nearly every prog. just as it starts, has some prawn saying "Coming up", and then shows clips of what we are about to see - just show the effin' programme ffs and stop padding it out!

A-fricken-men

A radio station near me boasts "we play the best music!" then plays tiny snatches of great music before launching into the Gilbert O'Sullivan Hour. Just play the music in your promo!!!

The buttons on a lot of modern electronic devices. I feel nostalgic for the days when buttons were easy to see and press! Now it's all this flat/smooth shit

Daryl Hall supported by Todd Rundgren are appearing in London just when I'm off to Devon for a week.

Free the Nipple. Christ, what will they think of next? https://youtu.be/FulhEKs0oNU Free the bollock!
Cutie Simon Cooper bravely bares a gonad at this year's Rudge Park Fashion Parade. Go, boy! This is self-empowerment for men. 'For centuries, lads've had to hide and even degrade their bodies for women's pleasure,' says saucy Si. 'But I'm proud of my cock and balls and I know the world wants them in its face. Why should I be ashamed of the old meat 'n' two veg?' So come on guys, let that sack swing out your kecks! Show us whatcha got!

You probably don't get it in the rest of the country but the advert for the Luton Airport express really pisses me off. The stupid cow gurning and getting in everyone's face. I don't blame that bloke staring out of the window and ignoring her.

No, the only Luton airport ad I know is

Yanks who pronounce Pasta as Posta. It's A - not O! And also Herbs has an H at the start. It's not 'Erbs.

That can be FRUStrating.

When you bid on eBay and you check 15 minutes before the end, 5 minutes before the end and then someone outbids you with 4 seconds to go giving you no chance to up your bid.

A word to the wise.

😆 That's what they call "sniping", and something I've done many a time as it's great fun visualising the face of your underbidder as his precious purchase he had been waiting for had just gone off in a puff of smoke to someone else who has outbid him.

You do the same back, as it is SO much easier now with a timer on the web-site, whereas we used to have to count down with a watch or clock.

OR if you REALLY want something then bang in an enormous bid, as that is just as much fun when you see a smug sniper put a bid in with 5 seconds to go but loses it because you've outbid him without even trying!!

You don't need that - much more fun to do it yourself

Yes but they might push it up so that you have to pay an enormous amount.

Then set yourself a limit! If you go to a live auction, for example, you must not get "auction fever" and get into a bidding war with someone - set a max. figure AND STICK TO IT!!

And so with eBay or whatever, say to yourself I'll pay no more than £x amount and if it goes over, then so be it. The other person is either a f**king idiot, or knows something you don't about about the value 😆

If you REALLY want something, you will have to pay over the odds - I have on many occasions, but now have the satisfaction of owning something I've always wanted.

EDIT - TIP. Have a go a sniping yourself! And bang your bid in at about 10 secs left PROVIDING you have a fast internet link, and if you are really brave and can hold your nerve, leave it until 5 seconds to go, as with my high speed internet, it takes about 2-3 seconds to appear on eBay.

I've never been to a real auction but I am tempted.
