Things that piss you off Page 1,419

Isn't part of Ukraine trying to become part of wales

"Flattening the world" I think it's been called. It's inevitable.

Given enough time: one nation, one language, one currency, one culture and, to quote Warren Beatty in Bullworth, "eventually, we'll have f**ked each other to the point where we're all the same colour".

For better or worse, distinct nations, cultures and (eventually) ethnicities are on the way out. Mass immigration into the EU, and between the member states, will leads to a lack of national identity, and resulting apathy, when the move is inevitably made to make Europe a single nation. It might be 20 years, 50 or 100; but it will happen IMHO (assuming the human race is still knocking about by then).

Movements like UKIP (etc.) are just pissing in the winds of change.

A better, and more 'winnable', fight would be trying positively-influence what form that single, inevitable mono-culture will take.

However, it's going to be tough for us, as our own status at the upper-end of the world's pecking-order (i.e. as white people in Western nations) will inevitably fall as everything becomes 'equalised'. In short, we'll have to start accepting shittier pay and a shittier quality of life to compete with those for whom such conditions are actually still a step-up from where they came. In a global marketplace, our value is plummeting quickly, and 90% of the world, in places like China, India and Africa, might say "it's about time too".

A certain Moderator has really got to reign in his personal and professional feelings. Otherwise he will be reported to the other Moderators.

Imagine having the anonymity to say what you like - if you are Lee, it's constant jokes about sucking off other men - now imagine if that anonymity was shattered? Would it be fair to make those comments public using his real name?

Time will tell.

I wouldn't be ashamed to be gay! Although it's interesting that you don't openly stand by your beliefs and opinions :) However, I do apologise if I overstepped a line in regards to revealing your possible ancestry!

You made it clear he had an Irish background, now anyone could figure out who he really is!

Everyone seems to have Irish ancestry.

After running out of potatoes, and sailing around the world to look for more, they must have been bonking everything that moves; including my great-gran (I'm an eighth Irish, or summat like that).

I also have a bit of O' in me.

At work, when you explain to someone that they can't make a change to something and they do it anyway, creating more work for you.

Big Brother has proven that if you hold a vote against, you get left with the least offensive most boring people.

Ooo, good example.

My beliefs often go against the ignorant mob and as both history and Twitter has shown us, the mob is often violent and stupid.

Similarly, I also make criticisms of comedy shows and performers, which I am free to do so thanks to a banner of anonymity. Certain posters who use their real names and desire to work in the industry are hampered by their lack of covert identity.

Finally, I've been back less then 3 months and you've used my real first name twice in postings. If you want to attack my beliefs and opinions, then you are more then welcome to, in fact, I encourage it. But when you start to attack me personally and use my real name, I think you have overstepped a line.

Put a Whig on it wogan

And that is why Simon Wing wakes up, salutes his Swastika, prays to Apollo and then heads off down the forum to buy slaves from the Roman provincial governor.

Every single week the news is filled with various countries fighting for their identity and statehood from outside oppressors. If you want to bow down and accept Allah / Putin into your life, then you go for it.

The rest of us will be voicing our concerns - including the immigrants who come to Britain to be British. Yep, if it was just the cash, they would have buggered off like they have in other boom and bust economies. They stay because they want to start a new life in a country with a certain set of ideals, freedoms and stability. And because they get loads of free shit.

No Make Up Domestic Violence Selfies are now a thing on Facebook. woo-hoo.

Hasn't everyone who wants to do a selfie already done one? Move on people - it's over. Get back to your 100 Happy Days boasting.

I liked the one where Fonzie jumped a shark.
