' You bought the paddling pool-so play in it'- a rather unsimpathetic response to the Somerset floods?

Is there anything we can't blame the Tories for? I bet this is Michael Gove's fault.

Now that's a genuine laugh out loud.
I bet the school governors are f**king furious.

Under Ed Miliband, parents will be able to issue Fatwas if radical madrasas fail to live up to standards. 'It's career suicide' said one bomb making instructor. There's always a hook with these people.
Something that pisses me off is people who plaster pictures of animal cruelty on Facebook and claim to be horrified by the images. That's about all they're willing to do to oppose it. Their casual shock and outrage apparently has much more worth than supporting charities.
"Share this photo of a burnt, urine soaked puppy corpse if you love dogs"

Totally agree, they seem to put them up there as if to say 'I can't stand cruelty to animals' - yeah you and just about everyone else on the planet. It should be one of those things that doesn't need to be mentioned like 'I enjoy oxygen in my air!', maybe they're extremely paranoid and secretly wonder if their friends think they abuse animals on the down low?
What winds me up on Facebook is someone copying and pasting a contentious article and writing 'This. I agree with this. 100%' - then when you read the article and challenge them on some of the assertions, they go all non-committal or get angry, as if you are disagreeing with the words from the Bible. A lie that appears on a news website is more truthful then a fact from an unknown.

This. I agree with this 100%.
I get pissed off with people posting that video of a girl throwing puppies into a river and saying 'Share! We must find this person!'
Never bother to check to find out that it was in Bosnia in 2010 and she was identified and caught.
I'm just sick of Facebook. I like chatting with my friends and family when I can't be with them in real life. But I don't think Facebook is the best way to do that. Please, a new platform come along and bury Facebook.

Won't be long now. My prediction is that new social networks will be more fractious, sort of like the BCG, where people of like minds will congregate. Kids are dumping Facebook for What's App as they see FB as uncool - and I don't blame them.

I agree. My latest pet peeve is needy and/or passive aggressive status updates. Stuff like "Feeling broken" or "So angry right now".
Or even worse, those who publish pictures which say stuff like "some people just build walls so others can show they care by breaking them down". It is just so me me me.
I think twitters where it's at, none of the others have the sense of immediacy and connection.
All the new ones seem to be aimed at the yoot and will fail because they have nothing interesting to say.
Families!!!!!
Facebook's really new and exciting - I've just joined!
