Quote: lofthouse @ 29th November 2013, 11:22 PM GMTYou wake up at ,say, 6am
All tired and half awake and cosy
So you blindly take a peek at your watch and YES! it's only 6am , I don't have to get up for work for another... errr ... An hour and three quarters BRILL
An hour and three quarters.. that's like ages and ages
You can watch a whole movie in that time
So you close your eyes and chill
Then , about five minutes later (or so it seems) you glance at your watch and it's now SEVEN THIRTY ?????
WTFH!!
how the ?? whoo? Whaaaaa?!!
f**kshitwattytitflapz.
Oh well ... don't need to get up for 15 minutes...
so you close your eyes and chill and .....
BLEEEP BLEEEEEEP BLEEEEEEEP
the bollocking alarm goes off
Where the hell did that fifteen minutes go???
I swear
My bed is a freakin time machine
What's worse than that is waking up at 6am feeling pretty good and like you could probably get up right now but before you finish that thought you've already lost the energy and fall back to sleep. When you wake up an hour later you feel like a zombie dragging yourself out of the grave and feel like crap all day.
No what's worse is when you don't wake up at all
Your fast fast asleep dreaming away an the alarm goes off
And you have to get up now
Now
No time to get used to the idea NOW this very second
bloody awful
And you try telling the young people of today that and they won't believe you!
Especially if you've dreamed all night that you were at work, and then you have to get up and go there for real.
Funnily enough I'm always dreaming I'm a work - but at places I used to work years ago
Never where I am now
Similar to dreaming you're still at school I suppose. (Which I do quite a lot.)
What boring dreams! My subconscious is quite weird - last night I dreamt about being a spy (as Abed from Community) and I was being pursued by a villain who could decompose his body at will and move as slime under doors.
I either have quite fun dreams like fighting zombies, or incredibly ordinary dreams like walking round a supermarket, being at school or making a sandwich.
The only thing I can remember from last night was driving past a convertible being driven by Paul Hollywood.
Gripping stuff.

That sounds quite X Files-y. I used to dream I was Scully quite a lot.

It's worse when that doesn't happen and you lie there for two or more hours trying to get back to sleep and knowing that you are going to be sleep-deprived-dozy all the rest of the day.

Yes, death can be a bit problematic.
