Is anyone getting bored with this yet?

Is that what they say to you during sex?

I'm rather touched that you see me as virile enough to refer to my potential on the job partners in the plural.

TTPYO: The Paxman/Humphreys method of interviewing. Not everyone you talk to needs to be treated like they are a disingenuous, idiotic, lying sex offender. The person you're interviewing shouldn't have to fight to get a word in edgeways between your snarky questions. Ugh, piss off.

God I agree so much

Since when did the 'media' decide that it's perfectly normal and acceptable for TV/radio interviewers to antagonise and bully and be downright rude to their interviewees?

There's no need and I find it obnoxious

People like to bigup Paxman cos he acts like a pitbull - like it's funny and clever

It's not

He just looks like an arsehole

I'm a Paxman fan. There are definitely bastards out there who need dealt with like that because they squirm, wriggle, and smart-arse their way out of things.

"Did you threaten to overrule him?"

Laughing out loud

Sadly I loved watching Tommy Robinson from the EDL give him a bloody good seeing to.

I think it was after the politicians all had media training in the art of not answering questions.

But yes maybe the interviewers could occasionally trust the viewers to work out for themselves who are the disingenuous, idiotic, lying sex offenders.

It's particularly annoying when they use the same approach for politicians, scientists, comedians, activists, statisticians, historians, anthropologists...

But the interviewees know what they're getting into, they actually want to be interviewed by him.

Getting an email alert on both my iPad and iPhone at 2.09 am from Waterstones asking if I want to review a book I bought online from them.

Then......further bastard alerts 3 minutes later asking me to review another book I had bought. This is the email I sent them:

Hi,

My iPad and iPhone are set up to 'bleep' when I receive an incoming email. This morning at 02.09 and again at 02.12 I was woken up as both devices received email alerts from yourselves asking me to review books I had recently bought. Whilst I consider myself a keen reader, I am not so keen as to be reviewing books in the middle of the night. I assume your alerts are automatically sent out but why at that time of the morning?

Thanks

Will

Sent from my iPad

Why don't you just switch them off or put them into silent bedside mode when you go to bed, like most people?
