So I'm a Christian - that doesn't mean I have to behave like a bloody monk all the time

So I'm a Christian - that means I have to behave like a bloody monkey all the time

Don't they just go threadbare and fall apart in the wash ?

F**king drama queens. I tell you there's more drama offstage than on.

F**king drama queens. I tell you there's more drama offstage than on.

When a film, TV show or book etc pops into your head and you think "ooh I must have a look for that on Amazon later..."

And then when later comes, you forget what it was you wanted to look for

Happens to me about ten times a day

Drives me potty

These things. I'd rather my security and money be easily compromised rather than having to go through the inconvenience of these things!

The Barclays one works pretty well. If I can ever find the bloody thing to use it.

I just had to pay two bills and something that would have took 2 minutes before - Select Payee > Select amount > Confirm. Now takes about 10 minutes and I had to use that thing 4 times! I hate it, I wish you could opt out :(

Maybe if you practiced more you'd get quicker? I shall pm you my bank details so you can practice as often as you like.

They really are a brilliant invention. Only fractionally more difficult to use than a hole-in-the-wall-money-machine or a card reader at a shop. What do you find difficult or annoying about them?

So it's not really the card reader that is bad, but the crappy design of the website you were using.

They are not hard to use, just inconvenient! It's two extra steps I don't want to take. I can do it pretty quickly but it means I have to keep the gadget close by and if I'm arranging a payment away from my house, does that mean I can't do it at all without this jumped up little calculator? I'm sorry, it may be for my benefit but why give me that one one end, and then make my debit card have a contactless pin free payment option at the other end of the scale??

The card readers are supposed to be compatible, so if you are away from home you can borrow one from a relative/friend/hotel. The uniqueness is in the credit/debit card that you plug into it.

How often are you likely to make bank payments away from your own home?

You really suck the fun out of this thread. Angry
