I've been using cream and my fingers for ages, but fancied going back to powder.
BUT after many searchings I just found my old(ish) brush and washed it, so all you new expensive brushes can bugger off!

That's right - tell the bastards straight.
And it's pink . .

Seriously, seriously, seriously . . . .
The Waitrose Weekender Magazine !
What f**kin' planet do they inhabit ? Not one that I'm familiar with !
One where everyone jogs, eats healthily, never have problems with their children, where the family all go out on their bikes to return to seared scallops on a bed of succotash.
It's aspirational, OR!

Food pricing pisses me off so consistently that I don't know what I'd be like if I tried to do food shopping unmardyly. I can kinda believe there's a difference between something, such as pasta, when a 25p packet and a few quid packet are compared (although I do not usually believe that the few quid packet is charging me a fair price). But if something costs between a very little price and a very daft price then what's the point? You're just depending on people to not want to get the cheapest thing. But it's clearly the same thing or it wouldn't be the same thing just at a bit of an in-between-y price.
Quote: Stylee TingTing @ March 24 2013, 2:39 AM GMTThose pesky supermarkets and their marketing tricks. Latest one I've spotted is "Wraps", which seem to have taken off in the bread section. Only trouble is, neither the brand name ones nor the own-brand ones show what the total weight of a packet is, so you can't compare the prices by pence per 100 grams. Seems to be outside the legislation that covers bread, which has to have its weight shown somewhere.
Eh?
Yep indeedy. That pisses me off with grapes too; they're quite expensive so I try to look for the best deal but since supermarkets don't seem to be required to use the same measurements for loose or boxed grapes it's impossible to compare per quantity listed. (I know loose fruit is usually cheaper but there's often some deal or another on multibuys of grapes). It's not actually the fault of the supermarkets that I'm shit at maths but it's still extremely irritating. And lettuce- if you buy an expensive one that's ever so slightly bigger the weight is printed so you can work out how many portions of veg for the price but the slightly smaller one does not have this info. Getting seriously annoyed thinking about lettuce quantities now!
I was wondering if unmardyly would sneak by as a word
Meant, not mardy, in continuous sense; an unimaginable state of mind for me in a supermarket.

I'd not known of "mardy" either.. but it is illiterative & conveys an impression, which turned out more or less right when I looked it up.
From Wikipedia
Mardy is a word in some dialects of English meaning: awkward; uncooperative; bad tempered; whiny; aloof; stroppy, moody, miserable or sulking like a small child. Its usage tends to be more common around, but not exclusive to Yorkshire, the West Midlands, East Midlands and Staffordshire. It is often used in phrases such as "He/She's a mardy bum/mardy cow/mardy bugger/in a mard/ mardy bastard/mard-arse/mardy mustard..." etc.
So it's a Northern word...
How did you pick that up AJGO ?
I know mardy and I'm southern!
The boxed fruit is usually 500g, so just double the price to compare to the loose kilo stuff
Even though almost all products show a per weight price
How do you lot get out of bed in the morning I do not know
