So, what makes a food snob, a snob, in your opinion?
I'll eat anything anywhere, except for corned beef which is the work of the devil. But I expect it to taste of what I ordered, I also expect a plate of food not a walnut, a caper, a piece of lettuce drizzled with some oil infused with fresh summer dew drops. I like everything from a Macdonalds breakfast to moules mariniere, but I want it fresh, I want it hot and I want it in a reasonable time frame. I like bangers and mash as much as I like oysters, but if I am paying for it I want it what I am ordering, not nonced up, and not served with a bloody jus, I want gravy, stick your jus up your arse, Gravy, thick and plenty of it!

Good job we didn't have to rely on you in WW11 or the Nazi hoards would have been pouring over the Channel.

Do you not remember the Fourth Reich and their lust for our British corned beef? I had to donate my pots and pans so we could make more photon torpedoes.
I knew you'd say that.
So what is it then?
WWII ? (capital ix2)
WW!! (obviously not)
WW11 (I stand corrected)
OK, I'll go with WWII. Final answer.

I am so glad that we've got past these Northern stereotypes. There used to be a time when the barbarians were categorised as being nothing more then unsophisticated simpletons with no finesse and who liked all of their food covered in gravy.
Next you'll be telling me that you like meat pies Pingl.

Um, we confiscated those from you after that BCG meet where Phil Collins happened to be in the pub and you challenged him to a drum-off. He got bored and left after a while, although not before getting a round in- cheers Phil!- but the pernicious pixie of percussion had got a hold of your soul and you played the live intro to In The Air Tonight over and over until Shandy was forced to make a joke so rude that the ears of the rest of us bled but you were brought round from your reverie. I can't believe you don't remember.

That's booze for ya. Though at the next meet, I'd be more then happy to have go on someone's bongos.

Yours is one of the few beneath-post-signatures that always sound like a continuum of whatever you say.
