So Border Agency staff are going on strike the day before the Olympis start.
57% voted for it but the turnout was only 20%. How the f**k can a strike be called when only 10% of the staff want to?

Welcome to democracy!
Union rules are voting make a mockery of democracy.
I suppose if organising labour is the only way you can make your voices heard, then corners will need be cut.
But this is silly and won't help them in the long term, like after the olympics when the government will take its vengance.
Still nice to see Government outsourcing has failed to curb worker outrage.

What a big f**king surprise! The PC who knocked Ian Tomlinson to the ground has been cleared of manslaughter because he used 'reasonable force'. Tomlinson had his hands in his pockets and was walking away from the police - I wonder what unreasonable force would have been.
To date the PCC has failed to request one prosecution.
Basically if officer Ivor Truncheon chooses not to thump you to death. It's because he chooses not to, because he aint going to be succesfully prosecuted ever.

Not just the Border Agency, some of the train drivers are going on strike as well. Yay, we are being held to ransom by a tiny minority of shop stewards.
Why people want Britain to fail, want the Olympics to fail and want us to be the laughing stock of the entire world is really beyond me.
Well 2 schools of thought
1 A government that has set it's mind against ordinary workers is a terrible thing. Their negotiating power is reduced, their funds shrivelled. And all 3 parties against them. THis is a last desparate stand before they fall. And with them the power and rights of all workers in the Uk unionised or otherwise. Like with the miners strike, government forces them to expand what little power they have in one last act of resistance.
2 The greedy c**ts want more wonga.

It's embarrassing. When the world looks at the strikes in Britain on the eve of the Olympics, they will only think one thing - what a bunch of miserable, petty, greedly little people the British are. The Tories won't get the blame, we will, the decent ordinary people.
Another school of thought - if we didn't have so many foreigns working in these striking companies, they might actually give a shit about national pride and wanting Britain to do well, rather then thinking about their own pockets.

And apparently he has previous!

I don't suppose you can entertain the thought that some foreigns can give a shit about this country even when they're not natives.

Yes I can. And based on some of the recent comments, there are plenty of useless British people who want the Olympics to fail as well.
But you know me, when in doubt, blame the foreigns. It much easier then thinking that my own countrymen are a bunch of petty, whiny, sour faced, little shits who want Britain to look bad.

Of course, silly me. I'll ignore you next time.

No point trying to have a debate with a racist
What's the point having an intelligent debate with someone who's viewpoint is basically "I don't like you cos your a funny colour and don't come from where I do"
Don't waste your breath
Its probably the Muslims fault we've had such a rainy summer too

I'm not a racist - unless you consider every foreign to be a singular race - which is extremely racist.
Same with Muslims, they are not a race, but they are responsible for blowing up the jet stream, probably.
I've noticed a lot with you mate , no matter what the issue, whatever the problem - you drag 'foreigners' into it
F**k the Olympics
These are ordinary people who are more occupied with paying their bills than some sporting event
