Thoughts? Some parts seemed a bit too set-up, and some seminal characters missing (Herr Flick!), but some very interesting interviews and facts, and of course the classic clips couldn't fail to make me laugh. On the whole though, I really enjoyed it. Really wish I could have gone to the recording!
The Return Of 'Allo 'Allo Page 2
An enjoyable evening. Just what you expect - lots of innuendo, lots of catchphrases, lots of women in underwear and lots of cliche stereotypes.
It never pretends to be pretentious or thought provoking. Just smut and I loved it - and haven't Vicki Michelle and Kirsten Cooke worn well.
I didn't so much mind 'Allo 'allo, because it had moments of funny. There were some really good bits. I didn't really feel this tribute did the series justice, because it appeared to be just a clips show with a fw celebs thrown in. But teh shows they showed in entirety were good.
But does anyone remember the show on ITV? Which Way To The War?
It still haunts me to this day.
The policeman and Herr Flick are still sexpots. Although a bit posher than I'd imagined.
Hurrah.
Can't stand it, sorry. Incidentally I am also the only person I know who loves quality comedy and (b) can't stand Only Fools and Horses.
"Good moaning, I was just pissing boo" always made me laugh and it still did when I watched the programme at the weekend. But as for the rest of it, well, I was never a huge fan but my wife tells me of the time when she saw the live show which was full of adult humour. Swears blind that it was the funniest thing since she split her sides with uncontrolled mirth at a loaf of freshly sliced Mother's Pride.
I'd really love to have seen the live show. Maybe someone will have recorded it and it'll find its way to DVD some day...
"The farters and the bummers" got me.

Then you don't like quality comedy, then.
Just watched an episode on TV and couldn't believe it was made in 1984, nearly 30 flaming years ago. Helga still gives me a twinge!

I've got the programme from the show somewhere . . .
I was referring to the stage production, not The Return Of 'Allo 'Allo!.
And me. Saw it at The Grand Theatre Wolves back in the day . . . .
Ah! The programme. Doi. I thought you were talking about the broadcast programme The Return Of 'Allo 'Allo! and ... oh never mind. My mistake. Carry on!
Animal!!
