Curious, but did or does the UK TV show shown the Australian TV comedy show called Mother & Son ?

I had left Oz by the 90s, but watched plenty of Mother & Son in the 80s and enjoyed it. It was similar to Steptoe and Son, in that the mother horribly manipulated her son. Good senile fun.
Recently found the first 4 series (the original Australian one) in a charity shop for 75p a piece. Enjoyed the first episode: typical 70's uk-style sitcom but with some sharp(ish) dialogue.
