Sayings you live by...

I have a saying I like to live by.

"Do what you like, and like what you do".

I like to live life thinking I'm enjoying life to the max and if I'm unhappy I remove that thing making my life sad. I also make sure the things I'm doing are not things that I find are hurting others or unpleasant, i.e. liking what I do.

It's a silly saying, but it's worked so far.

Your turn...

"Never kick a turd on a hot day."

I believe Fred West also followed this philosophy!

My grandfather always said, "Sometimes life hands you shit and sometimes it hands you flowers. Yeah, the shit stinks, but flowers will eventually grow out of it." These are my words to live by.

"Pain is just weakness escaping from the body" is one of the sayings I like my girlfriends to live by.

"If it moves, f**k it. If it doesn't move, f**k it till it does," always used to stand me in good stead.

I like to think you start RE lessons with that.

I do. Except I have to change 'f**k' to 'shag', obviously.

Well it's a good start to a lesson on smiriti in the Ramayana.

It always surprises me you don't sell more of your work, Dolly. Unimpressed

You can't jump in the same river twice.

Read it in a Stephen Fry book (Paperweight I think) and kinda liked it.

Less so on a lesson on the Good Samaritan. Sometimes I feel I'm really just shoehorning it into the lesson.

You can't jump in the same river twice.

But you can.

I wish I lived by some ludicrous maxim so I could join in.
