Lord Carey as a lifelong oponent of racism why are you calling for a ban on all immigration?
CAREY
Because it's a fantastic solution to racism. No diferent races no racism.
INTERVIEWER
But isn't that a little unChristian?
CAREY
Not at all. The rich man in his castle, the poor man at his gate. Doesn't say anything about the Chinese chap working illegally picking cockles on the beach.
INTERVIEWER
But surely there's room for everyone in this Green and Pleasant land? What about the underpopulated parts of Cornwall?
CAREY
We have some lovely cathedrals out there. You wouldn't want them all smelling of curry would you?
