A big hulk of a guy sells his soul to be skinny. Too lazy to keep fit and diet. He wants to be able to eat as much as he can and not gain an ounce

Anger:- After finding his girlfirend in bed with another man a man sell his souls for bad things to happen to them, which result in their deaths and he is the prime suspect

Thats a good one.

Maybe the first ep could be about Dev, how he comes to being a soul collector and meeting everyone for the first time and how he is dealing with this ultra real surreal occurance of events.

Maybe Dev gets the job because in 1st episode a soul collector comes for him and he manages to con the soul collector out of HIS soul but this means he becomes a soul collector and he is stuck with the job and the office is stuck with him because of whatever rules. So he hates being there and his collegues hate him being there too so its one big happy family. The boss wants rid of him and is looking for the first excuse to send him to Hell so Dev better step up his game and thats hard when you have the Heaven representative working against him in the same office! Also there is a loophole for him to get back to Earth and get back the life he somehow swapped with the soul collector that originally came after him, but he has to find that loophole first on the snide

Thats a good one I like that

When I was doing episode ideas I was trying to give the seeling you soul a double sided blade keep the ideas coming guys their all great

Difficulty is finding a way of doing this which doesn't seem apparent from the off. If someone sells their soul, then there is obvious consequences. It's the non-obvious you want. Bedazzled is a good example. Seven wishes and all of them have unforseen drawbacks. Although the Liz Hurley version should, frankly, be erased from history. Apart from the bit where she is playing pool....sorry, where was I? Okay.

So, a man sells his soul. What does he sell it for. Well, obviously he's going to sell it to become something better than he is. So what if he is already as good as he can be and finds reaching the top makes him totally out of his depth? He then has to do two things. A) Find a way back to how things were and B) Reach some other arrangement with Lucifer. I kind of like the idea that Lucifer could be Lucy Ferr. The comic potential of someone getting things wrong to descend into mediocrity is there, but maybe all his machinations towards incompetance make him more and more powerful? That we the audience see how trapped he is, and so does he, but the others in the piece see him as this all achieving Alpha Male? From this it could go either way; either he descends far lower than he was, right into the gutter, or he becomes the most powerful and therefore the most dangerous man on Earth.

By reading these ideas, most of which are really good, it would appear that this show is not going to be filmed on front of a live audience! I'm liking Scot's idea for the 1st Episode.

Some of you may hate this suggestion, especially those that envision a subtle 'The Office' style show but with the storylines flying around and the wealth of characters to be had I think this could be a good cross between Six Feet Under and Red Drawf (Six feet under because of the different people they encounter in each episode and how decisions in life and death effect them and Red Drawf for the fun, live cartoon characters)

Scott I take back almost all I said about you my man, you have nailed it on the head, subtle is not the way to go here keep going guys more ideas in the pot the better deadline is tomorrow so last minute thinking caps

Well I'm quite happy with my suggestions for the first episode so thats my paper in the hat. I think we can have Dev as the loveable Anti-hero in the same breath as David Brent and Lister (Red Drawf) who aren't the great people of society and don't always do the right thing and even most often don't have the best intentions (Blackadder) but their plighs are the cheeky fun we wish we had the balls to do and that's why it's fun to watch. Of course these type of characters always piss off almost everyone along their travels and their only allies are the one or two who wanna be along for the ride.

So I think Dev cons the soul collector out of killing him but ends up swapping places with him and now he is in the after life and due to a loophole he is stuck in this office and the boss can't sake him.........yet but if he messes up he is out. So Dev has to play ball, do the job well with everyone against him while also trying to find a way home.

Ok guys deadline is today, I will be making up a synopsis based on your input if you have any last minute ideas PM me or email me

Looking forward to seeing the synopsis, I think this is actually working really well. I think what this has that other projects don't have is a good decisive leader in Gavin. Projects ultimately need one person to gather information from the team and then make a firm decision on what direction they'll take, so yeah basically we have a director and it works

I too liked Scots idea for a first epo. Good going Scotty. I just love how this is all panning out. It will defo be a different sitcom to one ever done before. Remember guys I am on holiday from 7th may to the 21st. Lap top will be going with but I am not sure if they have internet connection in the Maldives.

I cant think of a better place to write some of my stuff so as soon as I know what my part in this is the better.
Gavin as always you are fab, I echo Scotts words above.

Oh I forgot to add. If we are going to have some cool sci-fi scenes in this, please dont give them to me to write. I am going to recieve an influx of irate women emails for what I am about to say but it's true. You need a male brain for that. Women will never out shine a males imagination there. Right I said it. I am in BIG trouble.

Every epo should end on a cliffhanger. Works every time. You just have to tune in to find out what is going to happen. Must be a real twisty ending too.
