The Sitcom Project: Devil's Blurb Page 6

Characters Revised

Dev Elson sold his soul to Elza Bob in exchange for becoming a big shot gambling exec. He was a cad and a gambler and in awful trouble with gangsters and it was his only way out. He was approached and in exchange for his wish he sold his soul. He had broken a deadly sin (greed) thus becomes a candidate.
Dev was suffering from a terminal illness and was given less then a year to live and begged for 1 more year. This was granted on condition that he becomes a soul collector.

Maybe Elza Bob could be this

A total bitch who never sold her soul she went straihgt to hell anyway. Either A)A practicing witch from the 16th century who made voodoo dolls of anyone she disliked and caused mayhem with them.
or B) A black widow who married the rich then killed them off in all sorts of horrific ways.

She was also responsible for lots of nasty's that have happened since her demise. By the way she was hanged or put in the ducking chair. Elza is the boss of Dev Ellison, whom she dislikes & would like nothing more than to see him fail his task.

I see her as a sort of Posh, suited lady in her 30's early 40's who skims around the office with her nose in the air. Wants to get her quota from Dave first so she does'nt fail then she can start her games on him.

How does that sound.

Or she could just be the Devil Himself and we find that out later. So too though could Dev or the newcomer. See the newcomer could be the BOSS checking on his staff. LOL. I am jogging off on one now arent I.

Ignore me.

Sorry Leevil, I don't understand what you're saying?

Was meant to be a joke.

This is all great advice IMO.

And as for the project. Before it's too late, I think I'm going to pull out as a writer. Your all doing a good job, keep up the good work.

Oi Leevil, dont go. Pleeeeeeease. Get your arse back here. If this all ends up flying out of the window I will be most distressed. I may drink from the toilet cleaner and he aint nice.

Nothing has been decided yet we are just messing with ideas. Come on dont go. *On knees*

Sorry charley, but I'd rather fully concentrate on my own sitcom and I'm not clever enough to work on two at once. I'm still going to buzz around and chip in ideas, but I can't commit as a writer.

Fair enough honey. I understand. Please do chip in. If at any point you change your mind then we are here and waiting.x

Thanks, say are you still on your knees?

Oh yes Leevil. On my kness. Why what do you have in mind?
*Charley getting all excited*

mmm can't say I'm excited that you've decided to leave Leevil but it is your choice at the end of the day.

Charley I like the idea for he boss make her a bitch but a bit sexy so you want to hate her and hump her at the same time lol

I'm having similar thoughts to Leevil actually, I may pull out as a writer as my own sitcom is really coming along now and I don't know how much attention I can give this script as a fully committed writer. I am still up for chipping in ideas and reading over drafts and adding bits etc.

Here's an idea I had though, just a plot of an episode, this Dev Elson chap could have to collect the soul of one of his own family members, brother or sister, something like that, yet he feels bad for doing so but it's what Elza demands.

God! Is everybody pulling out.

Hi Martin thats a good idea cheers for the thought mate and it a shame you are going to pull out, but needs must mate

I'll still try and do as much as I can, but I thought I'd save you the trouble of setting up teams and schedules only for me to then pull out.

How many writers does that leaves us with now?

5 or 6 I think Earman. So still plenty.
