Dialogue Query Page 3

I reckon on about 120 words a minute for a monologue. So it's about just over half the length of a normal TV script for half an hour.

So is mine half-hour then? Or less.

Well a BBC TV half hour is about 6,500

So by my calculation your monolgue is about an hour and a quarter or so long.

:O Blimey! Really? I have written a lot of scene description and my dialogue is rather long.

By my calculations my script is about 35 minutes long, I know this because all of the dialogue was originally recorded on Dictaphone and I have added that all up and it came to it about 35 minutes.

Well it's better to have too much then not enough. I can cut bits if need be.

A monologue is normally just the dialogue if you see what I mean, so you should be okay.
