It's great having a company of ready-made cartoon characters to deliver my lines.
Their acting isn't great, of course, but it's streets ahead of anything ever seen on Big Top - and that got a prime time slot on BBC1.
I'm expecting a call from the BBC at any moment.

I've had that call - if you can call it a call.
It came in the form of a scribbled note tied around the severed head of my youngest child as it crashed through my living-room window on Christmas Day.
It said 'Stop bad-mouthing Big Top' and it was signed 'DP'.
Bastard!
