I reckon the BNP could gain 1 or 2 seats in some really ignored and pissed off ward.
I would much rather have a system in which 100% are allowed to vote and only 60% are interested in doing so than have a system where the 40% who don't have any interest at all are compelled to put an X against something. Since when has being forced to vote - or even turn up - been a democratic process?
As for this election, it's the most unpredictable ever in my opinion. There are several new factors at work: the backlash of expenses means very few sitting MPs are trusted; the number of sitting MPs re-standing is lower (because of the expenses scandal); despite the long-standing Government being desperately unpopular and the country going through the biggest economic crisis ever the opposition is still not a shoo-in for victory, suggesting the electorate have problems with them as well; and - possibly the biggest unknown - in the era of X-Factor we have three TV debates. I'm convinced this could have an enormous impact, beyond that even contemplated by party activists. On the X-Factor contestants can go from zero to hero in a couple of weeks. Whoever wins the TV debates will have a great chance.

I think you'll find the only chance he'll come back is if he's offered a very, very large salary (think banker) and the opportunity to bomb some rather sandy countries.
Couldn't we swop the debates for Bravos "World's deadliest warrior"
But call it "World's deadliest wanker."
Cameron armed with a bike chain v Gordon armed with a fax machine/
Or even snog, marry avoid?

I reckon he'd settle for £50 backhander and Skegness.

If the tories win you'll have Tony back. David Cameron is just Blair II.
He's worse, seriously he is. The Evening Standard special on beating poverty (really a week long DaveyC lovefest) was chilling,

He wouldn't accept; he'd have to give up his non-dom status.
Maybe get Simon Cowell to do EleXion Factor and have Piers Morgan, Jonathan Ross, Sir Alan Sugar and Michael Parkinson to grill them all before getting the public to vote by telephone to see who wins.
I want the Tories in, but can't stand the thought of 5 years of being name compared to David Cameron
