General Election 2010 Page 81

I've just sent off my postal vote. Very exciting. I hope no party becomes any more distinguishable from the others in the next twenty fours, else I might regret my decision.

I guess its because we live in a safe seat. But the buggers could at least put in the effort.

Isn't it a bit late for postal votes? It won't get counted till the next election with our postal service!

I'm glad none of the muppets have called on me or asked to shake my hand. They wouldn't be able to answer any of my questions anyway.

What are people's plans for election night then. People staying up to watch it? I'll do what I normally do. Not go to bed, keep it on the telly and drift in and out of sleep on the sofa and see where the campaigns at. Also watch some political sitcom episodes to get me in the mood:
Steptoe and Son- My Old Man's a Tory
Rising Damp- Stand up and Be Counted.

I'm going to watch the Futureheads play live, sink a pint or two; then probably to bed when I get back, it will be quite late afterall.

Best election-related viewing should include the Series 5 episode of Minder, Balance of Power, where Arthur Daley stands as an independent in a local election.

I'll mainly be watching something else. The one in '97 was entertaining, but apart from that one night of being genuinely excited by it all, I've found it all mainly a bit 'meh'.

Stotty, where are the Futureheads playing? It's completely passed me by.

Looting, might as well get ahead of the post Cameron collapse of civilisation.

The Scala, London.

I'll be bolting the doors on my bunker, because apparently whoever gets elected, it will be a disaster, according to the other parties.

I've just sent off my postal vote.

But you're missing all the fun of going into a polling station and seeing how long you can stand in the booth before somebody comes to see what you're doing.

And asks you to pull your pants back up. That was one attempt at proportional representation I'll always regret.

I think they've all got a point.
