Not sure the intervention of the business bosses is going to do the Tories as much good as they think.

Did the Conservatives actually get the businesses on board and get them to write these letters though, or did the businesses do it and then the party used it in their argument?
Interesting comparison here of the cuts. http://order-order.com/2010/04/10/those-massive-tory-cuts-in-full/
Just out of interest.
Has anyone actually met any of their candiates yet?
Nope but getting lots of mail from Dave and George.
They usually contain a pre paid reply envelope which I take great delight in sealing and sending back empty !
Maybe I should progress and send something heavyish inside so they have to send someone down to the sorting office to collect it and pay the excess postage !

My parents met the Conservative PPC a couple of weeks ago. The actual MP (Labour) I've only seen on TV, despite studying Government & Politics for 2 years. Still surprises me she could never be bothered to visit.

You are John Prescott and I claim my £5.
Quote: sootyj @ April 9 2010, 3:38 PM BSTWas Alistair Darling chasing him?
He was. Vince Cable was there as well.

Actually, it was more mincing than running I would say.
Was Yackety Sax playing?
There are certain assoles who just should be slapped in the face !
And, before you ask, I don't mean Jack Straw !

Don't know if this has much to do with elections but it made me laugh.
Charles really is an endearing twat.
Silly old horse!

I don't think you'll get much sympathy with that here.

What ? Sorting out hackers ? Personally I'd shoot the f*cker !
Have you read/heard the detail of the case, or just that article?
Yes, Aspergers etc but, knowing what he was like, she should have monitored his internet use more.
I did with my two daughters when they were growing up to ensure they didn't access inappropriate sites.
Just suppose he had hacked the Russian defence system as well.
Dr Strangelove all over again.
He's almost 45.
Anyway, that's beside the point. His crime was committed in this country and so any trial should take place here. He certainly shouldn't be extradited under such legislation. Some of the accusations that the US authorities have made against him are ludicrous, particularly in regard to the costs and implications, IIRC.
Etc.
But with his 'problem', she should have been more watchful whatever age.
As I go Right, you go Left !
Interesting ! But I still say shoot the f*cker !
