General Election 2010 Page 122

When I read the headline I thought they were going to parcel up the Government and send it somewhere far away !

The only things being boxed up and sent away are the belongings of the Brown and Darling families.

The Lib Dems have always helped keep the Tories in power. Nothing has changed. They're just getting some payback.

I hope all you left-leaning types who voted Lib Dem because they 'were truly socialist' are f**king happy.

VAT will be 20% before the year is out.

Whoever forms the Government.

To persuade the electorate that proportional representation is the way to go, the LibDems have to show that a hung parliament can work. That means doing a deal with the Tories, because that is the only way the maths works.

If a hung parliament cannot be made to work, there will be another election, in which the Tories will almost certainly gain an outright majority, and so be able to govern without any moderating LibDem influence. Personally I think that would be a bad thing, so I support a LibDem/Conservative deal.

Have your fun now, because it's all down hill for the Conservatives from here. The real winners in all this are Labour, who get to regroup under Milliband and sit on the sidelines chuckling as the Tories and Lib Dems stagger from one massively unpopular decision to the next. :)

Why can't they film the bit where he talks to the Queeeeen?

Let's keep some things private! I like stuff behind closed doors and heavy curtains.

Also, I thought it was quite sad Gordon leaving Downing Street. He was a funadamentally decent man. Just a bit of a bumbling oaf.
Good luck with your future, Browny!

It is more exciting to have secretive meetings, yes.
But I still wanna seeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Gordon's goodbye speech was really sweet. Gawd bless 'im.

What a wonderful day to be alive. :)

I've no doubt they'll be tarred with unpopular decisions, and I'm equally sure that I'll be criticising some of them along with the rest of you, but I'm not yet convinced of either Miliband taking the leadership or Labour 'regrouping' in such the smooth, painless way that you seem to suggest.

Feels a bit weird not having a Prime Minister. If only for a few minutes.

*enjoys*

Bollocks.

All I need now is for England to win the World Cup and my f*cking year will be complete.

Incidentally, one of the things they were talking about on the news was that as part of the deal there will be fixed term parliaments of four years.

If that's the case, what would happen if a government lost a vote of no confidence?

If Cameron fellated a Libdem would he get Clegg on his face?

Well done Cameron. :)

Well they seem to have photographed it, whch I don't think they ever did before.

Well, that seems to be IT for the time being.
Cameron is now PM and will have a Coalition Govmt with the Lib Dems.
