Nick Griffin has not been fully open with his North West constituents according to fellow North West Euro-MP Chris Davies.
Liberal Democrat Davies has made the accusation against BNP leader Griffin after analysis of Griffin's expenses claims uncovered huge inconsistencies.
After pressure from Chris Davies, Griffin finally published an expenses statement within the last fortnight but it is inconsistent with previously published information about the staffing of his office.
Griffin has previously declared that he employs three members of staff (one of whom is also working for Yorkshire MEP Andrew Brons) but on his expenses statement he claims to employ eight people, none of whom are named and only one of which has a job title matching his previous claims.
Griffin also claims to have donated £5,575.91 to a fund that has only declared income of £4560.65.
Davies said, "The latest statement of expenses from Griffin has raised more questions than it has answered."
"He is claiming to be transparent but in reality the way he is spending taxpayers money is as clear as mud."
"He needs to be open and honest about who is working for him and where he is spending his constituents cash."
"Either Nick Griffin doesn't know who is working for him or he is hiding information from the voters. The people of North West have a right to know which."
