British Comedy Guide

If they made a sitcom about your life...

What would it be call? What's it about? Who'd star? What would the jokes be? Would Mark Jacobs feircely defend it against sofa masturbators on line?

Ok here's Sootyj's sitcom.

TITLE
What's up you cock? Or every days gay with Sootyj

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Can Sootyj juggle his job as a smuggler of illegal foreign terrorists into council flats whilst being the British Nazi Parties first Jewish MP?
All the time trying to win the Guniess Book of Records prize for most inane posts? Will he ever be get that kiss from Sara Palin?

STARRING
Robert Mugabe as Sootyj.
Jabba the Hutt as Nick Griffin.
The sexy woman off the Vanish adverts as Sara Palin.
Gordon Brown as an incompetent twat.

THEME
Bengali in Platforms by Morrsiey.
But I may write my self.

It's a great idea, especially since in attempting your exercise, I'm sure that many people would realise that the stuff they ordinarily write is usually unwittingly autobiographical.

TITLE

Nogget No Sleep

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

Not doing a 9 to 5 and generally avoiding dreary stuff. The star is allergic to boredom, to the point that he will sacrifice any number of pleasures, to avoid the potential of hanging around too much. Despite this, he falls in love with a girl with whom he never seems to get enough sleep.

STARRING

Anthony Head as me (my kids said he reminded them of me, even though they said I look different, and he's like 10 years older, so go figure. I'll temporarily alter my avatar to demonstrate this), and an ever-ready bunny as my girlfriend.

THEME

Insomnia, Faithless

TITLE

The Unfortunate Decisions of Renegade Carpark

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

Some Mothers Do Have 'Em meets One Foot In The Grave as an aspiring comedy writer gets continually shat on by everyone and everything. Bittersweet laughs ensue everytime RC tries to pull himself out of the gutter and is predictably booted back down again by 'forces' beyond his control. Schadenfreude abounds!

This is a great question, particularly as methinks many a BCG member may have considered writing a sitcom based on their own life:cue laughter of recognition from the other members.

I have considered mine many a time and feel myself to have had an interesting life with many different eras from which a long running situation comedy could be born. I think the 94- 97 era would be particularly fruitful.

It would be about a young man getting to grips with the love of his life and realising the importance of Jesus. In short it would asses the distinct lack of moral fibre in the mid-ninties, and I would hope to include a satire of how Bill Gates was able to monopolise the computer industry, an occurence that to my mind was easily preventable.

For a title I have decided upon 'beati pacifici', which translates as 'blessed are the peacemakers'.

Although, he looks a little too old for how I was back then but in those days I resememble Robert Webb, particularly in the hair stakes.
I would have a punt on Fearne Cotton to play Dawn, as their noses are not dissimilar.

An early version of a theme for the Leevil and Sootyj show.

To the tune of the theme from Cheers.

Making jokes about the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, to write about rape alot

Don't you think he should get put away?

Sounds like a clown on blow

Where every statement is inane
and his Sootyj's always insane.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are pretty lame
You wanna be where everybody knows
Sootyjs flame

You wanna go where Leevil knows,
people all thinks he's lame,
You wanna go where everybody knows
he's on the game.

Excellent!

Leevil and Sootyj is filmed in front of a live studio audience.
